Large-Span Structural Glass Enclosure

We delivered the custom glass system for a university library’s new Large-Span Reading Pavilion. The client’s vision required a structurally robust, yet visually seamless, enclosure with minimal sightlines to maximize the connection to the surrounding courtyard. Our solution involved developing a custom Structural Glass Fin Wall System using specialized low-iron, laminated glass panels supported by discreet glass fins, eliminating the need for bulky aluminum frames. We integrated high-efficiency sliding glass doors rated for high traffic. The resulting pavilion achieves near-perfect transparency, providing an unobstructed, acoustically quiet space that dramatically enhances the user experience and architectural light flow.
