The design orientation of the project does not focus too much on decorative details, but completely focuses on functionality. This effective simplification still brings simplicity and harmony to the three-bedroom apartment. Inspired by the Wabi Sabi style, the space has an open spirit, not only for 5 family members but also for guests. The main interior of the apartment is made from natural oak wood and MFC wood with a dominant dark brown color, creating a feeling of solidity and warmth.
The light brown color on many different textures from the ceiling, the surface-treated walls, the tiled kitchen wall details, the bamboo blinds or the rattan woven surface of the wardrobe all create the rustic and intimate features of the Wabi Sabi style, bringing both visual and tactile effects. The three connected areas of kitchen – dining room – living room will be the daily meeting place, the main activity of the family, so to open up intersections for common activities, the Architect designed the kitchen parallel to the entrance of the house, creating a walkway that is also a more flexible living space. This not only brings a feeling of open space but also helps the kitchen user to observe and communicate easily with other members, especially the boy who is at the age of learning to walk and stand.
Coming to the private space are the bedrooms, where the House receives opinions not only from the homeowner but also from the young members, and this is also the reason why the apartment is named Harmony home. A small bedroom with a bunk bed system is the solution to satisfy the needs of playing, studying and resting in a small space. Children will decide the color and decorative images to create inspiration and love every time they enter the room.
